Our good friends, Jason and Caroline gave Ava a Build-A-Bear gift certificate for her birthday, so we all got together for the experience! If you've ever been inside a Build-A-Bear store you know it is stimulation overload with all of the different things to hear, see and do! It was all we could do to get Ava focused long enough to choose her bear. I tried to steer her toward a fluffy, brown bunny but she chose a bright pink fluffy bear with hearts on it's tummy and paws. I somehow managed to distract her away from the noise station where you pick a sound to go inside your bear...whew! Next came the stuffing machine where the flimsy, empty bear got full of fluffy white stuff...and Ava put in a little, red, satin heart that says, "I love you". The next station had brushes and an air machine to "fluff" the bear, then it was off to select clothes and accessories! Ava really liked the baby girl dressed sample bear, so her pink bear got the same bib and diaper clothes. On the way toward the register Ava spotted must-have accessories for her baby pink bear...a magic wand and princess tiara. During our dinner afterward, it was all we could do to keep Ava separated from "Pinky Bear" long enough for her to eat. Thanks again, Jason and Caroline, for a wonderful time!

I feel like I know Miss Ava though I have only seen her pictures. It's plain ti see is living a full and wonderful life with very loving and caring parents. You two are doing a great job!
At my age I have never put on a pair of skis...now I'm too smart.
Still love you,
Marf
