Fall Lake/Golf House Fun!

We've still been frequenting our little house out at Cedar Creek Lake at least two weekends a month, despite the cooler weather and the fact that the pool is closed for the season. The weather has been beautiful nearly every time we have been there, allowing for long walks, golf cart rides and plenty of golf for Adam. Ava has gotten to ride along with Daddy a few times while he casually plays the holes near our house there.

Ava loves to play on the "soft grass" (also known as the greens on the golf course) near the clubhouse after golfing hours. You can see what I think is the 18th hole green here in the background, as she poses in a little tree she can climb just off the patio of the clubhouse.

In preparation for more indoor playtime we got Ava a "Jellybean Jumper", which looks like a little, tiny bounce house. She really enjoys jumping in it and getting all of her energy out! I'll admit that even I have had some fun playing in it with her!
Here we see Adam and Elizabeth catching up on a little relaxation together...so sweet!
Ava really wanted Elizabeth to experience the "Jellybean Jumper" too. She promised not to jump while she was in there with her. It's so wonderful to watch the girls become better buds every day. They really love each other so much. It's just so adorable!

So much for being kind to all of God's creatures. Apparently Ava has seen Mommy and Daddy kill one too many bugs. She decided to go ahead and take care of elminating a spider herself with her little golf club.
Take that, nasty spider! There are a TON of spiders out at the lake house. I was in the front yard recently and could see a spider crawling in the grass about every 6 square inches. It was so creepy! Much thanks to Poppy for coming out after I reported that episode to him and spreading some earth-friendly pesticides to get rid of the spiders for us!
Our friends, Jeff and Tamra, came over one night to visit and play ping pong. You can see Ava and their son, Gavin, watching the ping pong action from Uncle Josh and Poppy's boat (they've decided to leave it out at our house there).
Gavin is one of the most adorable little boys, ever! He and Ava are good buds and love to play together when we go out to our lake house.
Check out the mad ping pong skills of Adam as he reacts with cad-like reflexes!
Seriously, Adam really is a pretty darn good ping pong player. Jeff is really good too, so I suggested that they gang up and hustle at the next ping pong tournament out there. Apparently the guys out there are as good at ping pong as they are at golf!
We enjoy getting to get away from the city at our little place in Cedar Creek. Maybe we'll actually get in the lake at some point too ;)
