A Whole NEW World!

Having two kiddos in the house has been quite an adventure so far! Adam and I are trying our best to get some sleep at night, but Elizabeth seems to have her days and nights confused. If you ever need to know how comfortable it is to try to sleep on a sectional couch...just ask Adam...he's now an expert. Elizabeth is quite noisy when she's trying to settle down to rest. She makes all sorts of snorts and squeaks and grunts...for sometimes up to 20-30 minutes! Hopefully she'll outgrow this noise making soon!

Maybe the lack of night time sleep is due to how comfy Miss Elizabeth's day time sleep has been in the cool glider the Gormans let us borrow (thanks for sharing, John!).
She does seem to just conk right out after each sponge bath I give her, though. Maybe I need to save these for right before we'd like to go to sleep at night? I'm so ready for her little umbilical cord to fall off so that I can give her a REAL bath!
Ava is still just SOOOOO loving and HANDS-ON with little sister, Elizabeth! She observes every aspect of care for her and has been doing the same for her dolls. Here you can see her burping her Ariel doll as I'm burping Elizabeth...

We've had a few very nice visits from grandparents since bringing Elizabeth home. Here you can see a very wide-awake Elizabeth over Nana's shoulder...
Nana helped with Ava's bathtime while she was here too! They were really in a giggle frenzy over the bubble beards and bubble hats they were making!!

Poppy came for a visit and brought along my cousin Cris and her son, as well as my Uncle Warren and his lovely wife. Here's a shot of Poppy admiring his second grandchild!

Grandma and Grandpa recently stopped by for lunch and brought along our nephews, Caleb and Trevor to meet their brand new cousin! Mike and Libby were so glad when they found out Elizabeth was a girl because now they've got two grandsons and two granddaughters...nice and balanced!
