Nana knows best when it comes to cooking. Ava is SUCH a diligent student with her.

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my side of the family at our lake house. Adam, the girls and I met up with Nana and Poppy, Uncle Josh and Aunt Caylon and we were so excited to host my Aunt D and her husband, Dan, who met us there too! We spent 4 fun days together and managed to fit in:

- Shopping - my second "First Mondays" experience
- Cooking - Nana made her famous chicken and dumplings, I whipped up a carrot cake using my grandmas recipe and Aunt D made some spectacular gumbo
- Relaxing - Aunt D and Nana introduced us to their love of the tv show, 'House' and we sat by the fire pit outside a few nights chatting
- Golf - Adam and I played our first 9 holes together since before Ava was born!
- Playing - we burned it up on our ping pong table and Uncle Josh broke in his new remote controlled helicopter
Thanks to our family for coming out to the lake house and being so great. We had a blast making holiday memories with all of you!
