The Wonderful Holiday Season

We spent Thanksgiving at our lake house with Adam's family where we ate the big meal at the club house in lieu of all the cooking and cleaning normally associated with Thanksgiving!  I'm in favor of duplicating this plan again next year!
We had the special treat of getting a visit from Adam's grandma and grandpa who were there with us for Thanksgiving as well.

The day after Thanksgiving we went on a "Polar Express" antique train ride with grandma Libby, great-grandma Mavis and Michael and Angela and their boys.  Ava and her cousins were very excited!
They are looking out the train window at the "North Pole" as Santa and his elves approach the train.
Out of order, but here's Elizabeth with great-grandma Mavis at bath time.
A quick pic with Santa.  As you can see, Ava wasn't sure about Santa being so near her.
Proof that our second child will actually take a bottle.  Hooray for Daddy's efforts!
Another sweet pic of great-grandma Mavis, Miss Elizabeth and grandma Libby.
Sweet Elizabeth Kay!
My second born doing one of her favorite things...screaming with glee!
Ava and Daddy selecting the perfect Christmas tree.  Way to go, you two.
Ava and Mommy pose with her "Annie" musical program.  We saw it at the local high school and she's now even more in love with theatre and is STILL requesting that we play 'It's a Hard Knock Life' on repeat, nearly daily.
Ava was a big help this year with the Christmas tree decorating.  We got this fun, pickle ornament from our good friend, April.
"You need to put more lights at the bottom of the tree, Mommy!"
We went to Poppy's favorite museum when we got together with he and Nana for mine and Adam's birthdays.
Out of order again, but a cute pic of the girls in their matching pj's from grandma Libby.
Ava decided she would pose like a statue for us.  Ain't she just too cute!
Poppy wanted Ava to teach him to skip.  She's very good at this now.
We went to the pottery place near our lake house to decorate a nativity scene together.  It was a great time.
Our gingerbread house making broke out into a bit of a frosting war, so we decided to top off the meyhem with our best Roudolph impressions.
Christmas with Auntie Michelle, Uncle Jeff and Auntie Ginger...always a good, relaxed time!

Oh my, it's been too long since I have blogged!  Things have been crazy around our house.  We decided in December that we'd start thinking about moving into a house with a room dedicated to a home office (Adam has no other space than our dining room table lately).  I also had a laundry ROOM (I currently have a closet for this) high on my wish list.  By mid January we had our house on the market and it sold on the FIRST day!  Well, we had to get crackin' on the new house search!  We looked at a few and had an offer accepted on one we really liked.  After an inspection, it turned out that one had a few too many scary fixes needed, so we opted out.  I had a good cry (why did I let myself get emotionally attached?!) and it was back on the hunt.  The house we originally had our eye on (before ours even went on the market) became available again and we jumped on it!  We're thrilled about this new house and the very quiet street it sits on.  Ava loves the stairs and is ready to paint her room orange.  Hopefully she'll have forgotten about that lovely shade by the time we move in mid-March.
Hope you enjoyed the few pics above from the last few months...
Hopefully it won't be another three months before I post again!
